Hospice works with patient physicians to coordinate care, focusing on symptom management and comfort for end-of-life patients. Care is provided by a team of nurses, social workers, chaplains, home care aides, and volunteers who work with the patient and family to allow the patient to remain in the comfort of his or her home during the last stage of life. No one is denied hospice care due to inability to pay.
Bereavement services are offered to anyone in the community, regardless of whether their loved one was a hospice patient. We offer several monthly support groups, as well as individual grief counseling.
